About Debbie

Hi. I am Debbie Mcnab of Umbrella English. I am an English Language teacher from Birmingham, UK, with over 20 years experience of teaching and coaching. I speak French, Spanish and Dutch. At Umbrella English, I help professionals improve their English for communication at work and socially through one-on-one online sessions. Lessons are personalised to your level, goals and preferences. We work with real life and work situations and practice until you feel more prepared and more confident. I will also guide you through any English grammar needed. My goal is to make you feel welcome and safe and free to make mistakes while learning. In my sessions you are guaranteed a full hour of speaking and listening practice, with feedback and insight into what is going well and where you can improve. For an in-person in-country experience, I also offer multi-day Language Visits to my home town of Birmingham, with the option to stay at a hotel locally. Mornings, lunches and dinners are spent learning one-on-one with me. Afternoons and evenings are free to explore, with the option of some cultural visits together.
