A professional directory profile
A clear, well-designed profile that shows your languages, specialisms, qualifications and approach — not just a name in a long list.
For teachers
Why join HILT?
HILT is a home for independent language teachers: a public directory that helps learners find you, and a community that means you are not doing this on your own.
Membership
One membership, two things that matter
When membership opens, a single membership fee will cover both the public directory and the HILT community. There will be no separate directory fee.
Easier for learners to find you
Learners search by language, location, lesson format, learner age, level and specialism, so the people who reach you are the ones you can genuinely help.
HILT actively promotes the directory
We actively promote the HILT directory to people looking for language lessons, helping your profile reach potential learners rather than simply waiting to be discovered.
Greater professional visibility
Being listed alongside other experienced independent teachers helps show learners that working with an independent professional is a serious choice.
Connection with other independent teachers
Working alone does not have to mean being alone. HILT members can talk to other teachers who understand the realities of independent practice.
Support, ideas and development
Somewhere to ask questions, share what works and take part in professional development and resources as HILT grows.
