Bonjour! I'm Fred, a native French speaker, qualified teacher (QTS) and Enhanced DBS-checked language specialist with over 11 years' experience teaching French in a wide range of schools, including independent, grammar, comprehensive, all-boys and French schools. I now offer personalised face-to-face and online tuition for children (4+), teenagers and adults. As a native speaker, I bring authentic language and culture to every lesson. Combined with my UK teaching qualification and classroom experience, I know how to explain French clearly and effectively to English-speaking learners. I teach Primary, KS3, GCSE, A Level and adult learners, whether you're learning for school, exams, travel, work or simply for the love of the language. As a former Head of Modern Foreign Languages, I have extensive experience preparing students for public examinations and helping learners of all abilities achieve their goals. Every lesson is tailored to the individual. Whether you need support with grammar, speaking, listening, reading or writing, my lessons are engaging, structured and designed to build confidence. I believe students learn best when they feel relaxed, supported and able to make mistakes without fear of judgement. My aim is not only to improve grades and exam results but also to develop confident, independent French speakers who enjoy using the language beyond the classroom.
